Stressed, mostly. But also, I made a joke to your brother recently that he behaves like a parental figure and he seems pretty serious that he would adopt me if the paperwork were possible. Not that he's ever not pretty serious.

Oh, no. I think I know why, at least in part. Wangji mistook something I said and believes I want a niece. I thought he would have let it go by now.

I really can't, all I remember is that I said something offhandedly about children and he hooked onto it.

So he doesn't have any parental feelings towards me, then, he just wants to please you.

I'm sure he does! Perhaps it's a blend of the two?

With a hefty side-serving of treating me like a child.

Sizhui is still treated as a child, at times.

But I don't mean to ramble about your brother's parenting style.

In a sect hierarchy there are clear lines drawn between seniors and juniors. Sizhui will be a junior for a while yet, it has little to do with his age.

Why? What makes one not a junior anymore?

[lanclan]

It is usually when a new generation takes over, although they can be comprised of all ages. Wangji, Wei Wuxian, Wanyin ... they are all of the same 'generation', technically. People distinguish themselves in different ways and grow up individually.

I am Wanyin's senior but also his equal, as sect leaders.

I'm sorry, who was Wanyin again?

Jiang Cheng, but I use his courtesy name as we are not that close, the way that he uses Zewu-Jun for me. I should call him Sandu Shengshou as that is his official title but it comes off rather cold, and he does not call me Lan Xichen as he feels that is very intimate, I suppose. I would not mind if he did.

Ah, him. I thought as much. He's a stickler for the rules of conduct he sets upon himself.

If I can ask, would calling you Zewu-Jun not be correct? Or is it too cold? I'm having some trouble with the many titles, I'll admit, and anytime I ask Sizhui for guidance he'll say something like 'Hanguang-Jun is Hanguang-Jun' which - ?????
