I will be in Ke-Waihu again shortly, I got what I wanted from the cult. I could make an early run for it - so tell me what it is.

As you know, we have been working with the witches in the Fetters on a cure for the drought plaguing Ke-Waihu.

Hyang-Tai has advised that the dark waters we have seen about the village resulted from a fertilization cure given to them by a wanderer in white. It has regressed to its more primal state, as she describes it, because of the spillage from the mountain, but she described a way that we may be able to restore these dark waters to their more natural state and thus restore the cure to the surrounding village.

We would need to cool it or add it to water. Both of these things are scarce at this time, given the state of the volcano. Which led to the suggestion of a more magical intervention...

[He has to pause to breathe sometime...]

I remember - [What a relief to know that at least one of them overheard the important conversation, because her accidental consignment into the Beastmaster's followers ended with a handful of potions supplies and a lead that signalled to the volcano.

But at least she's helped get one key. It should not be hard for her to apparate across the abyss without flying on those blasted birds again, and make her way back to the village, something that becomes very apparently needed when Anduin continues speaking. By the end, she knows exactly what he's come to ask for.]

I can create water. There is a spell for that - like there is a spell for freezing water. It likely won't freeze a whole volcano over, not a chance, but the fields...

[She sucks in a breath at the whole cure for the fields.] I may have a way of getting more of that cure. May know who's hoarding it.

Oh. [That's kind of sweet that he cares.] I'll tell you where I am, but you can't be mean.

[ Squinting. He has no idea what to make of that, but he knows her well enough. ]

[Clears throat.] I'll tell you what I didn't do, and that's stand idly by while people very clearly needed to be taught a lesson.

[somebadnews]

[ Why... why did he choose to involve himself with another person who only gets into trouble? He could probably guess where she is, and he mutters 'worse than Diego' under his breath. ]

Are you hurt?

What's that? [SHE HEARD THAT, FIVE.]

I am fine, and very much uninjured.

[somebadnews]

[ Well, that's his fault for putting it on audio. ]

You're fine, but you don't want to admit where you are.

[reparo]

You're going to do that thing, where you sigh and roll your eyes and wonder if you're the only smart person in the room, which you aren't. So, yes, I'm fine. No, I won't tell you where.

[somebadnews]

[ He swallows his sigh, she can't see his eye roll, and no smartest person has ever had to say this before (until now): ]

I won't be mean.

[She does not swallow her snort of disbelief, but whatever. Pain prolonged enough.]

I'm in the brig.

[ Knew it. There's a semi-spiteful amount of restraint in his voice as he actually tries to keep the promise he made two seconds ago. ]

Well, that's unfortunate. You can't use your magic in there?

It's actually quite nice and quiet. No ghost voices that only I can hear - it's like a holiday.

Considering where we're heading, maybe staying there isn't a terrible plan.

It's kind of moot now, with you stuck in the brig.

[ He knows he could bust her out. He's done it before, but after what she said... the barrier is good for her. ]
